After studying architecture at the University of Bath Joseph Robson went on to complete an MPhil entitled ‘Computer Investigations into Renaissance Art and Architecture’ in 1996. Although originally trained in traditional drafting skills, Joseph mainly produces his illustration work with the aid of a computer.

Joseph set up his own architectural illustration company, AVR London, in 2006 and has since worked with some of the worlds most respected architects, including Herzog & de Meuron, Renzo Piano, Richard Rogers, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Haworth Tompkins and been involved in many notable projects, namely the Eden Centre, The Shard, and NEO Bankside.

He has exhibited widely in the UK and abroad and most recently was invited to participate in the 10×10 Drawing the City Exhibition at Somerset House.

Alongside running his studio Joseph is also a visiting research fellow at the University of Bath and a lecturer on The Cities Programme at the London School of Economics.

He is currently the President of the Society of Architectural Illustration.
