2019 marked the 25th year of Sarah Wigglesworth Architects and we are delighted to be hosting an exhibition curated by the studio themselves, celebrating some of their favourite projects.
Please read on for more from SWA;
As we embrace this new decade, we reflect on what 25 years in practice has truly meant to us, how this has affected how we design and collaborate and how we continue to shape the wider built environment we live in. As an environmentally focused practice, sustainability is at the heart of what we do. As we begin to look ahead to what the next 25 years may bring, we reflect on what important design challenges and exciting times we, as architects and designers, face in these ever-changing times.
For this exhibition we wanted to celebrate all the parts that make SWA an exciting, collaborative and diverse practice, by reflecting on some of our most memorable projects. Our studio members have chosen an SWA project to explore and our exhibition presents the culmination of these works.
We also opened our studio doors to artist Becky Shaw, as part of our artist in residence programme. Within this exhibition Becky allows us to dive into her exploration of our projects. We see her move through the stages of design through her own sensory exploration of our work in development. We invite you to learn more about us and how we work, as we take you on a journey through the past, the present and the future 25 years of SWA!
The exhibition will be open Friday 27 Mach to Sat 4 April Monday – Saturday 11am – 5pm.
