The Old Chapel

After lengthy sympathetic renovations The Old Chapel is now available for hire. The building dates from the 1870’s and offers an abundance of unique and beautiful features, perfect for exhibitions, photo shoots, film hire, recitals (we have been told the acoustics are amazing!) or even wedding celebrations. A double height ground floor space, with a triple height (11 metre) void at one end the fabric of the building has been left very much as it was when it operated as a Zionist Chapel over a century ago. Recent additions of a top floor bring a fantastic exposed wood soffit to the ground floor and a new mezzanine allows for perfect photo opportunities against the back drop of the original exposed brick walls.

Practicalities are that there is 1 toilet accessible by stairs, a bar with sink and oven, plenty of on site parking and space for deliveries, outdoor power, sound system, decorative lighting available, an abundance of plant life, great lamps and furniture and even a  selection of classic cars if that’s your thing!

A cleaning charge of £80 will be added to all bookings (unless agreed otherwise) and all music and guests must stop / leave at 11pm.

Prices start from £550 for a half day hire.

13a Shad Thames

13a Shad Thames provides a beautiful blank canvas for your event or exhibition. Located a moment away from the Thames, Tower Bridge and not far from Bermondsey High Street, the former spice warehouse has original brick wall features, exposed copper pipework, a fabulous  kitchen and bar area with copper worktop and ample opportunity to make it your own for a day, an evening or longer.

the building is located on the ground floor with easy access, 2 toilets, and a fully fitted kitchen.

Capacity: 100 standing / 75 seated

Available for daytime, evening and weekend hire.

Cost

Daytime Hire

8am to 6pm – from £850

Half days from £550.

Evening Hire

We have found that each evening hire is unique and therefore would ask that you discuss your requirements with us and we will be able to come up with a competitive cost that suits your needs and requirements.

Terms and Conditions

No permanent alterations to the venue are permitted.

The venue must be left in a clean and tidy condition.

A cleaning charge of £80 will be added to all bookings unless agreed otherwise

All events and music must end by 11pm unless agreed otherwise.

Clients are responsible for any breakages, losses or damages caused to the premises or equipment by the client during booking time.

If the event exceeds the booked time a fee will be incurred.

Drinks service is to finish 15 minutes before the end of the hire period.

All guests must have left the space by the end of the hire period.

All rubbish must be removed from the space at the end of your event.

50% deposit is required to confirm the booking.

50% charge if cancellation is less than 3 weeks from booking commencing.
